NANJING SIGHTS
Nanjing was the capital of China for six dynasties. As a result, Nanjing has several sightseeing options that are worth checking out while you are in town. Recommended sights: Confucius Temple (FuziMiao), Jiming Temple (and walking along wall with view of Xunwu Lake), Nanjing Massacre museum, Nanjing museum, Presidential Palace, Dr. Sun Yatsen's Mausoleum at Purple Mountain, and the view of Nanjing from Zifeng Tower.

SHANGHAI
Shanghai is 72 minutes by fast train. If you have the time, it is well worth the trip. It has fantastic restaurants and plenty of sights to occupy your time. Recommended sights: French Concession, Yu Garden, People's Square, and the Bund.
